At Geek Respawn we are a group of techie geeks with a passion for video games and an obsession with gadgets. We love to play, test, and review all the latest in gaming and gadgets and share them from our perspective.
Geeks Respawn was co-founded by Jen & Zen in 2011. They are two nerdy girls looking to share their geeky experiences and maybe take control of the world. Jen and Zen have been gaming buddies since days of Halo 2. They both also belong to an amazing all-female gaming group called NyX Grrls. Rye’s been behind the scene for several years assisting with NyX Grrls work. He officially took the plunge and joined the staff in 2011.
Staff
Jen – Co-founder, Writer, Web & Graphic Design, Borg Drone
Jen is an easy going gamer girl who fell in love with videos games at the local bowling alley. She plucked tons of quarters into the Galaga, Pac Man, Pole Position, and pinball machines. She freaked the first time she saw a game cost 2 quarters and quickly found that .50 a game for Dragon’s Lair went way too fast. It wasn’t long before the parental begging paid off and Jen got her Atari 2600.
Since then Jen expanded her geek level to include a love for sci-fi, superheroes, technological gadgets, and more gaming. Jen works as a freelance web and graphics designer in the Seattle, WA area. You can find her most days on Xbox Live but sometimes she just likes to go mountain biking or for a motorcycle ride. Oh, and Jen pretends she is a robot when doing high intensity cardio (whatever works).
Rye – Game and Mobile Device Critic, T-1000 Prototype
Zen – Co-founder, Writer, Graphic Design, Cylon Agent
Zendra is a graphic designer located in the mitten state. She’s trigger happy when it comes to FPS and has a lead foot in the racing world. For years she was convinced she had to be a super hero whose powers had not yet emerged. After coming to the realization her parents were just hippies that gave her a weird name, she discovered her dream could be lived with a NES controller and a geek was born. Games like Mortal Kombat, Need for Speed, and Mario Bros fueled her geek powers to grow. Her powers include but are not limited to Action, Adventure, FPS, Stealth and Racing.
