Kinect launched today and I was most excited to purchase the games pictured above.  I decided on Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Your Shape Fitness Evolved, Dance Central, and Kinect Adventures (included).  I had a lot of trouble finding Your Shape Fitness Evolved though.  I had to go to several stores before finally finding it at GameStop.  To be honest I actually was sort of tired after all of the running! It was quite the workout.  I was almost afraid that I would not have the energy to play anything…although I managed to push on for fun and easy achievements.

Oh man, I can tell that I am going to be sore tomorrow!  Just the short fitness test on Your Shape kicked my booty!

Well, I have had a chance to play Fable III now for about 3.5 hours.  So far I am really happy with the game.  There have been enough improvements to make it new and interesting while keeping the same Fable that we all know and love.

Here is a concise list of the pros and cons that I have encountered so far.  A more in-depth review will be coming soon after I have a chance to really play the game.  As Dezign and I learned with Crackdown 2, opinions can change a lot in a week.

Pros:

• Visually stunning.  A few graphical glitches here and there but I will just overlook those.
• The music and sound fx are amazing and immersive.
• Good plot.
• Chickens!  The intro made me love them.
• The poster artwork during loading pages is very intriguing and well done.

Cons:

• Using expressions with villagers seems clunkier and takes more time.
• I want my health bar back!  I want to know how bad I am hurt before I use a health potion.  This is the only thing that I totally hate about the game right now.

Waiting to Decide:

• There is a new interface that replaces the old menus.  Initially, I was not a fan but it may be growing on me.  I can see this as a huge plus for more casual gamers and for those who have not played Fable before.

We have learned to always give it to her though! We win more that way.

Poor Opal Grrl is just now playing Halo 3. She is learning fast so watch out!

It was a pretty cool set-up and luckily not too many people came so we got to play a lot.
