Halo 3: ODST Updates

The Seattle Times had a great article today about Halo 3: ODST. If you don’t want to read the whole article at least check out the key points below.
- The game has more drama and mystery than before.
- Players can freely explore, an “open world” model popularized by the “Grand Theft Auto” games.
- Players who prefer traditional “Halo” can head directly to sites in the city that trigger “flashbacks,” putting them into classic “Halo”-style missions fighting aliens and blowing things up.
- There’s a lot more clue-finding and mystery-solving than you would normally find
- New multiplayer option called Firefight that’s designed to be quick and easy for small groups of friends to play on the same console or online
- Groups of four cooperatively work through sessions that may last about 30 minutes.

Pretty LED’s in Nara’s Xbox

Well, once again Nara Grrl decided to void her warranty and play with some LED’s. This time she cracked open her Xbox 360.

The system cycles through various colors and is very pretty.

Good job Nara! Now go rip something else apart.

Xbox 360 Controller with LED’s

Nara Grrl gets bored easily and likes to void her manufacturer’s warranty by doing things like this!

She actually did put it all back together again. She also switched out the controller shell and insists that it is very soft to the touch compared to the stock shell.

Fallout 3 Review – In Case You Missed it!
Pros:
Long, interactive quests with multiple dialog options.
Several downloadable storylines, with new weapons, armor and collectible
Vast, open-ended Wasteland full of unique buildings and true-to-life landmarks
Use the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System to pop off sweet headshots on Raiders.
If you’re a collector of things, this game has plenty of in-game items to hoard, fashion into a custom weapon, or shoot at baddies!
You can be a goodie two-shoes, savior of the Wasteland or an Evil, destroyer of humanity. Or walk the line, as a neutral character.

Cons:
As with any DLC, you have to pay 800MSP for each expansion pack.
At times, travelling through the Wasteland is tedious, fighting Mutants and Raiders at every new location.
Has a “Post-Apocalyptic Oblivion, with guns” feel…which can be good, or bad.
You gain XP too quickly. Once you’re a level 20, it’s over unless you purchase the ‘Broken Steel’ add-on.
The main story is a little weak. It’s the side quests that keep the game interesting

Bottom Line:
Whether you’re about to take on that Super Mutant Behemoth or try to outrun the armor-clad Enclave, be sure to stock up on Nuka-Cola Quantum and Jet before you venture out into The Radioactive Wasteland.
Nara’s Score – 8/10
